English 101

Welcome!

Welcome to the website for EN 101 Composition I - the first course in Marymount's first year composition program. Composition I introduces students to the research, writing, and oral communication skills necessary to succeed in college. As the subject of their reading, writing, and research, students will focus on American society and culture.

To explore these issues and facilitate communication and research, the course has online resources devoted to its activities: this web site for the entire Composition I program and a Blackboard site for each section of the course. This site provides general course information and research resources that should make your work this semester easier and more efficient.

For information about your particular section - assignments, due dates, and weekly schedule - use the Blackboard link to access your section. For information and resources that apply to all sections, use the menu on the left to navigate.
